Fulfilled Dreams

Avah’s Ocean Adventure

Group proudly holding freshly caught fish.

We are so excited to share the unforgettable fishing adventure Avah and her family recently experienced with the incredible crew at WindSong Charters. Two years ago, Avah became Outdoor Dreams’ very first dream when she harvested her bull elk, and we wanted to do something special for her again. This time, the goal was a day on the ocean chasing salmon and bottom fish, and the results were beyond anything we could have imagined.

From the moment the first line hit the water, the action was nonstop. Avah and her family reeled in more fish than they could count, ultimately limiting out on coho and bottom fish. Every drop of the line seemed to bring up another keeper, and the smiles and laughter on the boat said it all. It was one of those days where the fish, the weather, and the company all came together perfectly.

This trip was more than just fishing, it was another chance to celebrate how far Avah has come since beating cancer twice, and to see her love for the outdoors shine as bright as ever. We couldn’t be prouder to watch her create new memories on the water, surrounded by family and the beauty of Washington’s coast.

A huge thank you to Ben Maxon, David and Shay Ellis and the team at WindSong Charters for making this day possible. Your generosity gave Avah and her family an experience they’ll never forget.

And as always, we’re deeply grateful to our donors and supporters who make these adventures a reality. Avah’s journey is proof of the healing power of the outdoors, and with your help, we can continue creating these moments for other deserving kids.
