With the help of our good friend David Ellis at @reelnorthwestfishingcharters , Outdoor Dreams was able to fulfill Ruben’s dream of fishing the ocean and what an experience he had! 

Ruben spent the day near Port Angeles, WA with his dad Craig and sister Maggi, fishing for bottom fish, and man did he have a great experience! It warms my heart to see a big smile on Ruben’s face as he reeled in some tasty fish. The Heartline Inc. in Port Angeles generously put together and donated a fishing pole along with some accessories for Ruben as a gift so he can continue to fish on his own. The entire fishing trip was a team effort by the Ellis family and they were lucky enough to have perfect October weather. Ruben was referred to us by Seattle Children’s hospital and it is our hope that Ruben will now have a life-long passion for the outdoors that he can continue to share with his family and friends. Ruben’s father is working on getting him a compound bow and lessons so he can get into archery and maybe even archery hunting someday.
