Fulfilled Dreams
Hunter is a bright, outgoing 10-year-old who loves fishing more than anything. He lives with Asperger’s, ADHD, mild Tourette’s Syndrome, and learning disabilities, but nothing stops his passion for being on the water. His dream is to one day become a game warden so he can protect the wild places he loves most.
This summer, Outdoor Dreams helped make Hunter’s fishing dream a reality. Rough seas made the day a tough one, both Hunter and his mom, Kaysha, battled seasickness. But Hunter powered through and reeled in two beautiful Coho! He couldn’t have been prouder and was telling everyone that he caught “10-pounders.”
Despite the challenges, the trip was filled with laughter, gratitude, and memories they’ll never forget. Kaysha shared how much the time together meant, saying they wouldn’t have been able to experience something like this otherwise.
We can’t thank David and Shay Ellis, Ben Maxson, and WindSong Charters enough for their generosity in making this day possible. And a special thank you to Seattle Marine & Fishing Supply for donating Hunter’s rain gear.
