Fulfilled Dreams
We are thrilled to share the incredible adventure Braedon recently experienced on his dream fishing trip, thanks to the amazing team at WindSong Charters.
Braedon and his father Tim embarked on a memorable salmon and halibut fishing journey out of Neah Bay, WA, and the day couldn’t have been more perfect.
Their trip took them to the legendary Swiftsure Bank, where the excitement began as soon as the first line hit the water. Braedon quickly hooked a coho, and the action was nonstop from there. After throwing back several wild cohos, they reached their limit quickly. But the adventure didn’t stop there—next, they headed to the halibut grounds. Fishing 350 feet down, Braedon and Tim caught four halibut, bringing in some of the best eating fish on the planet.
The day wasn’t just about the fish, though. They also enjoyed the stunning sights of Tatoosh Island, spotting sea otters, whales, the famous lighthouse at Cape Flattery, and breathtaking waterfalls. It was a day filled with joy, nature’s beauty, and unforgettable memories.
This trip was another milestone for Braedon, who has faced tremendous challenges with Alström Syndrome. Despite these obstacles, Braedon’s love for the outdoors and his resilience shine through every experience, whether it’s his recent elk hunt or this incredible fishing trip.
We can’t thank David and Shay Ellis and WindSong Charters enough for their generosity in making this day possible. Their kindness and dedication to creating a once-in-a-lifetime experience for Braedon will never be forgotten.
